| If you're travelling on a Sunday be aware of the possible football traffic through Ennis - allow plenty of extra time! Then if you get through with loads of time to spare have a look at the Abbey at Quin - beautiful and only about 15 mins from the airport... Don't forget to fill up just outside the airport (follow the McDonalds sign on the road into Shannon itself) I drove round the airport about 3 times looking for petrol! |

| Shannon Airport is situated around 15 miles away from Limerick. From the direction of Limerick best access is via the N18 towards Ennis and follow signs from Bunratty Castle.
